SEEKING: Stage Technician Intern for Fall 2012



RESPONSIBILITIES: Slash Wednesday, a monthly talk show hosted by award-winning PBS writer/performer Slash Coleman, is seeking a Stage Tech intern. The show incorporates live streaming, stage projections, live texts and tweets during the show. Suitable candidates will have experience with or interest in learning about this type of stage technology. This is a hands-on internship that will require overseeing the technology portion before, during and after the show.



REQUIREMENTS: Interns should have a general interest theatre and television and be creative, dependable, flexible and be comfortable working independently while enjoying participating in the collaborative process in a fun, positive, open environment. Problem solving skills and a DIY (Do-It-Yourself) approach are a plus. No previous experience necessary, although desired. This is a great opportunity to start in the business.


PAY: This is an unpaid internship with the possibility to lead to a paid position for the right candidate.

Publicity Internship

SEEKING: Publicity Intern for Fall 2012

RESPONSIBILITIES: Slash Wednesday, a monthly talk show hosted by award-winning PBS writer/performer Slash Coleman, is seeking a Publicity Intern. Intern work involves direct contact with the media, arranging and covering press interviews, writing and editing press releases, assisting in special event planning, e-mail blasts, updating lists and various social media tasks, assisting in arranging coverage on TV and radio shows, as well as creating newspaper and magazine stories. The program is ideal for interns majoring in communications, journalism, theatre or English.

REQUIREMENTS: Interns should have a general interest in theatre, television and communications and be creative, dependable, flexible and comfortable working independently and enjoy participating in the collaborative process in a fun, positive, open environment. Problem solving skills and a DIY (Do-It-Yourself) approach are a plus. No previous experience necessary, although desired. This is a great opportunity to start in the business.
